This is the first time I've created a blog, and I'm not sure where to start; there are so many things going on.
I want to blog about the hill walking I do, backpacking, reading and writing and growing things on the allotment. I am very much geared to the natural world and most of these things will very much reflect that...
So, today.
Well I have spent most of today at my allotment on the south east of Sheffield. Working can sometimes have a zen-like quality about it; you become absorbed in the task at hand, not worrying about things in the outside world. I helped my Mum by pricking out 15 Celeriac seedlings, and weeded under her fruit bushes. It was easy enough and so the physical gives way to the mental; the mind ticks over, sorting things out, letting it defragment. Maybe physical work does that for you; so much of my life has been cerebral.
